How Many Sessions Will I Need / Can I Have?

  • Sessions are scheduled weekly.
  • Other than that - it really is a case of "how long is a piece of string?" - it depends entirely on what you need.
  • I am happy to work with clients on a short, medium or long term basis, depending on what is appropriate for you.
  • The number of counselling, CBT or psychotherapy sessions you have will depend on:
    • the issues you are facing
    • what you want to get from the process, and
    • the pace you are comfortable to work at - it is important to go at a pace that's right for you.
  • Some people find it helpful to book a regular, guaranteed appointment "slot" (ie the same time and day every week) while others need to be more flexible and book appointments at different times from week to week as their family or work commitments may vary.
  • Either approach works so long as you are committed to attending regularly, the important thing is to find a way that suits you and enables you to attend on a regular weekly basis.
